Welcome
There is a simple and effective system in place to safely allow
Gate Guidelines
Rancho Heights Road and Management Committee

visitors into Rancho Heights.
First, the call box at the gate allows your visitor to call our home and ask you to open the gate after you have ascertained the visitor's identity. (Complete instructions are available at The Gate.)
Second, if you need to allow access temporarily for a worker, party guests, etc., you may request a temporary gate code that can be activated specifically at your request and deactivated when the need passes. To request a temporary gate code, click here.
Gate Security Updated
The gate system has been upgraded, bringing with it a few changes for users. Most important, new gate codes have been issued to all owners by mail.
There are three important changes to remember:
1) The former # button now is a button with an image of a key and must be pushed before you enter your gate code.
2)Your new code is six digits. To open the gate, you must press the "key" button and enter all six digits. The first three digits can be given to your visitors. See step-by-step instructions at The Gate.
3) There is a new "Help" button on the gate box. Pressing this button will provide your guests and service people with information on how to enter the gate.
As always, the Gate Guidelines at the left apply.
Are You Ready for Fire Season? An Earthquake?
In truth, every season is fire season in Southern California, and we've already experienced a community evacuation order.
We were lucky once again. But, are
you ready for the next wildfire emergency? Do you have the necessary clearances to provide "defensible space"? (That's the space firefighters will need to attempt a successful defense of your property.) Click here for a Wildfire Safety Checklist from the American Red Cross.
Fire isn't the only potential disaster likely to occur in our area. "The Big One" -- meaning a major earthquake in Southern California -- is a matter of when, not if. Are you ready?   Click here for an Earthquake Safety Checklist from the American Red Cross.
Do you know what to do in a disaster? What you need in your emergency kit to sustain yourself, your family and your pets for 7-10 days in an emergency? Click here for a list of basic emergency supplies from the Red Cross.
