*ALL FIRE, POLICE AND MEDICAL SERVICES HAVE THE ABILITY TO OPEN THE GATE AT ANY TIME.

 
Owners may order a remote gate controller or obtain a primary or temporary gate code by contacting us.
 
 
The Rancho Heights Gate can be operated by three methods:
 
Remote controller  ♦  Keypad code  ♦  Telephone dial to resident’s home using the key pad
  
 
Using the Remote Control:
 
Stop at the white line in front of the gate.
Press the button on your remote controller.
Pass through when the gate opens.
 
Using the Gate Code:
 
Drive carefully up to the gate keypad stand.
Press the "key" button on the dialer and enter your six-digit code.
Pass through when the gate opens.
 
Allowing Entry to Visitors:
 
You may facilitate entry by your visitors in two ways:
Have your visitor use the telephone dialer from the keypad stand to call your home and request entry.
Give the first three digits of your personal gate code to a trusted visitor. Instruct the visitor to press the three digits only - not the key button. (It is recommended that you give your code to family members only. See below for availability of temporary codes.)
 
Using the Telephone Dialer:

Instruct your visitors to:

Drive carefully up to the keypad stand.

Follow the directions on the keypad to scroll through the list of residents' names.

When the appropriate resident's name is displayed, key in the three digits following the name.   (NOTE: Residents' phone numbers will not be displayed -- only their name.)

 

When the three digits are pushed:

Your home telephone will ring.

Briefly identify the caller and, if you wish to provide access to the caller, press and hold the 9 key on your home telephone pad for one second.

The gate will open and your visitors may pass through.

WARNING: DO NOT include your personal, confidential key pad entry code number in your telephone answering machine message.  Again, it is recommended that your provide your personal code only to family members.  Vendors such as trash service, delivery services, etc. have been issued their own codes.

 
Temporary Codes:
 
Please do not give your personal code to a temporary worker or real estate agent. You may request and give a temporary code to workers and agents that may need access for the short -term. When the code is no longer needed, it can be deactivated.
 
Help Key:
 
This feature of the new system allows redidents and visitors to get verbal instructions for gate operation.
 
To Exit Area:
 
The exit gate swings toward an exiting vehicle.  Please approach the gate area slowly, and stop at the white line and "Wait Here" sign.  A sensor will activate the gate when your vehicle reaches the appropriate location. The gate will swing open toward your vehicle and remain open long enough for your vehicle to pass.
